Gregory Joe Moore, age 54, of Overland Park, Kansas, died unexpectedly on Sunday, December 27, 2015 in Little Rock. He was born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas on May 26, 1961 to the late Joe Charles Moore Jr. and Bobbie Jean White McMillan, to whom he affectionately referred as "Bobbie Jean, the Beauty Queen". Reared and educated in Arkadelphia, he graduated Henderson State University with the degree of M. B.A. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. At the time of his death, he was Vice President and Shared Services Executive with AIG, having been with the company for 23 years. Greg was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, and loved dogs. He is survived by his spouse, Larry Smithson of Overland Park, Kansas; two sisters, Jana Sutherland of North Little Rock, and Vicki Houchens (Mike) of Carlisle, Arkansas; an aunt, Marie White of Arkadelphia, two uncles, Neil "Bud" Moore (Lou) of Illinois, and Jimmy White of Arkadelphia; a niece, Melanie Parrish (Will) of Carlisle, two nephews, Chris Houchens (Jeannette) of South Carolina, and Kyle Sutherland of Sherwood; two great-nephews, Daniel Lopez and Toby Houchens; a special long-time friend, Jill Connelley Barnett; numerous cousins, and a host of friends and relatives. He was also preceded in death by his beloved dog, Simon. A celebration of Greg's life will be held at a later date.
