James Jerry Lee Bohan

James Jerry Lee Bohan, a resident of Rogers, Arkansas, formerly of Platte County, Missouri, was born June 10, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri, a son of James Francis and Velma (Reed) Bohan. He departed this life Thursday, February 05, 2015, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, at the age of 74 years. James was a member of Rogers Christian Church in Rogers, Arkansas. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a past Master of Adelphi #355 Mason Lodge. James enjoyed farming, storytelling, laughing and just loved life. He worked as a railroad engineer for Burlington Northern for 40 years. On June 20, 1970, James was united in marriage with Nadine (Matthews) Bohan who survives him of the home. He is also survived by one adopted daughter, Thea David of Centerton, Ark.; one brother-in-law, Dave Bondurant and wife Viginia of Kansas City, Mo.; two nieces, Cheryl Bondurant and Mark Ofenloch of Chicago, IL, and Michelle Bondurant Wilson of Kansas City, Mo.; one great-niece, Kendall Taylor Wilson of Kansas City, Mo.; and a host of family, friends, and loved ones. James was preceded in death by his parents, James and Velma Bohan and one sister, Connie (Bohan) Bondurant. Visitation will be held from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday, February 08, 2015 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, February 09, 2015 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Zach Davis officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Grandview Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
