SONDRA BILKEY, 65, of Sherwood went to be with her Lord on Thursday, Feb. 5. Born in Poplar Bluff, Mo., Sondra is preceded in death by her mother, Fredia Bilkey. She is survived by her son, Darren (Jennifer) Rice of Cabot and daughter, Kathy (Andy) Plezia of Mayflower; father, Thomas "TL" Bilkey of Sherwood; sister, Diana (Ernest) Ketcherside of Georgetown, Texas and grandchildren, Tyler Plezia, Hope Plezia and Megan Rice. Sondra will be remembered by her family and friends as a loving, compassionate mother and daughter who was always there for her family providing care for her parents in later years, always with a positive and humorous attitude. She loved music, playing the piano and singing with a quartet for several years. She is known best for her participation in showing her dogs all over the country and is known affectionately as "Charlee" by her dog show friends. Sondra followed her father into a career with the Union Pacific Railroad for 30 years, where she worked as the first female train dispatcher for the railroad. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock.
