Lucy Russell Collison

Lucy Russell Collison, 87, of Cabot died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015. She was born Apr. 12, 1927 in Lonoke County to the late Marvin W. and Bertha Lee Mahoney Russell. Mrs. Collison was the oldest member of Russell Chapel Church of the Nazarene, where she has been a member for 70 years. She owned and operated her own beauty shop and worked in real estate in Jacksonville for many years. Mrs. Collison was an active volunteer in her community and was beloved by her family and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Martin Collison; a sister, Clara Dodson; and a brother, Robert Russell. Mrs. Collison is survived by her sister, Nora A. Lackey of Cabot and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015 at Russell Chapel Church of the Nazarene with Brother Steve Zumalt officiating. Burial will follow at King Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501)843-5816. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
