Emy Lee Selby, 88, of Little Rock has entered into heaven to be with her Savior on February 8, 2015. She was residing at Katherine's Place in Fayetteville, Ark. Emy was born to Lee and King William Story October 23, 1926. Several years after graduating from Cave City High School she moved to Little Rock to join her sister and mother. Emy worked thirty years for Teletype Co in Little Rock where she was one of the first females hired at the plant. After becoming a supervisor for many years she retired in 1988 and has kept in touch with many of the lifelong friends she made while working there. The Pioneers Club at Teletype also helped create many happy memories. In 1970, William P. (Bill) Selby married Emy and they enjoyed traveling to air shows in Oshkosh, Wisconsin with friends. They were members of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ for many years. Emy loved family, especially her two grandchildren and relaxing on the deck of her Greers Ferry lake house. She especially influenced two friends who now call her their Meme and Granny. The Lord was number one priority in her life and every night before bed she read her bible. Emy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill after 43 years of marriage, infant son, William Lloyd Clark, and eight siblings: Coy, Fay Ellen, Bly, Guy, Cly Nora, Ivy Bea, Kay Jr., and Billy Ray. Survivors include her son, Chuck (Shari) of Springdale, two grandchildren, Brian Clark and Stephanie Clark, several nieces and nephews: Bob (Suzanne) Sweeten, Margaret Ann Specht, William Ray Story, Debbie (Paul) Wasserman, Peggy (Tim) Taylor, Lisa Story, Francis Selby, Kimberly Brown, Melissa Link, Molly Howard, Rebecca Vickers, Melinda ( Eddie ) Martin, Nancy Doshier, and many great-nieces and nephews. She will be missed by many friends who considered her as their sister, mother or grandmother because she graciously showed to all she met mercy, compassion and never-ending generosity. The family wished to offer special thanks to the caregivers at Katherine's Place in Fayetteville and Circle of Life Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Pleasant Valley Church of Christ in Little Rock Ark., Southern Christian Home, 100 W. Harding St., Morrilton, Ark. 72110 or the charity of your choice. Visitation will be Friday, February 13, at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth Funeral Home, 5800 West 12th Street in Little Rock from 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 14, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Griffin Leggett.
