Photo of Paul Holt
Paul James Holt, of Cabot, found a peace that passes all understanding on February 12, 2015, at the home he loved and shared with his devoted mother, Frances Holt Wittenberg. Paul was born on February 7, 1962, in Seagraves, Texas. He is survived by his mother, brother and sister in law; Kent and Julie Holt, a niece; Olivia Holt, a nephew; Oliver Holt, along with a host of Texas relations including his uncle and aunt; Dr. and Mrs. Joe Weldon Christina, cousins; Dr. Martha Anne Fielder, and Elizabeth Warrick (David), Cheri Stith (Russell), Joe Christina (Stephanie), Dr. and Mrs. Craig Christina (Stacy) and their families. Paul made many friends around Cabot and around the world. He cherished his co-workers at Cabot Public Schools- the people who came to know Paul as the guy with the four-dimple smile. He is preceded in death by his father, the Rev. Francis Holt, and his stepfather, Edward Wittenberg. Paul was a lifelong employee of Cabot Public Schools where he worked as a custodian. Paul loved working outside in his garden, tinkering with bicycles and lawnmowers that he collected, and spending time mowing cemeteries and other public places with Carl Pickard, whom Paul loved and respected and who gave Paul the kindness and wisdom of a father. A celebration of Paul's life will be held at Cabot First United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 14, at 2: p.m. with Dr. Darrell Coats and the Rev. Sally Johnson officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501) 843-5816. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Cabot Scholarship Foundation, 200 W. Main, Cabot, Ark. 72023. Please sign the online guestbook at: www.moorescabotfuneralhome.com
