Diane Newland

Diane Newland, 68, of Rogers died on 13 Feb. 2015 from complications from cervical cancer. Diane was born in Faribault, Minn. She graduated from Springdale High School in 1964 and the University of Arkansas in 1968 with a degree in education. She lived most of her life in Northwest Arkansas, where she worked in real estate and construction and cared for her children and grandchildren. Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Bea Lawler. She is survived by her sister, Pat Lunn of Springdale, Ark.; her brother and his spouse, Dick and Sid Lawler of Tulsa, Okla.; her children and their spouses, Richard and Christy Newland of Little Rock, Ark., Dr. Katherine and Steve Barton of Rogers, Ark. and Mark Newland and Julie Mannon of Williston, ND and her grandchildren, Jacob and Thomas Newland and Beatrice and Blake Barton. Funeral mass: 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2015 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers, with Monsignor David LeSieur officiating, a reception following the service. Interment will be at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church in Little Rock. Visitation 5:30 to 7:30 Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015 at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers.
