Shelbia Ann Laster Mitchell

Shelbia Ann Laster Mitchell, 73, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015, at Baptist Health-Stuttgart. Mrs. Mitchell was born October 21, 1941, in Decaturville, Tenn., to Walter and Naomi Welch Laster. She was retired from Riceland Foods and member of Humphrey Church of Christ. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Terry Laster, Charles "Bo" Laster and James Laster; and her loving daughter-in-law, Lisa Gail Cathy Mitchell. Survivors are her husband of 54 years, Johnny Mitchell; three sons, Michael Mitchell and wife Sonja, Kelly Mitchell and wife Lisa and Heath Mitchell and wife Meredith, all of Stuttgart; sisters, Nellie Laster Arnold, Brenda Laster Jerrolds, Linda Laster Windham and Teresa Laster Newman; brother, Richard Laster; seven grandchildren, Kyla (Jeffery) Mitchell, Brandon (Morgan) Mitchell, Meagan (Keven) Whitson, Megan (Joe) Tabor, Lauren (Cody) Tuminello, Caleb Mitchell and Micah Mitchell; and four great-grandchildren, Layton Tabor, Ava Grace Burns, Aubrey Whitson and Sadie Claire Mitchell. Graveside services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Frazier Cemetery with Bruce Dabbs officiating. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home.
