Bonita Bonnie Woeltje

Bonita "Bonnie" Pierce Woeltje, of North Little Rock, died after a long battle with cancer on Feb. 15, 2015, fortified with the Sacraments of the Catholic Church. She was born Feb. 24, 1939, in Mishawaka, IN, to the late Clarence Pierce and Elizabeth Karmolinski Pierce. Bonnie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She delighted in her family and enjoyed every opportunity to spend time with them and show her love. While her children were young, Bonnie was a stay-at-home mom and volunteered her time as room mother, Cub Scout den mom, and youth group leader. She committed herself to her work as well, having been employed many years at Dillard's Corporate Offices in Little Rock. She was a selfless, beautiful, elegant woman who will be missed by everyone who knew her. Bonnie is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald Woeltje; children: Keith Woeltje (Gabrielle), Ann Hodges, and Joan Bick (Frank); 11 grandchildren: Maeve, John, and Eile Woeltje; John, Elizabeth, and Thomas Hodges; Xavier, Luke, Phillip, Grace, and Blaise Bick; siblings: Jean Strock, Ronald Pierce, Janice Pierce, and Nancy Kepschull. Bonnie was preceded in death by an infant son, John Patrick Woeltje. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2015 at St. Anne's Catholic Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home.
