Sherryden Watson

Sherryden Greene Watson, 79, of Palm Desert, California passed away January 18th in Palm Desert. She was born February 5, 1935 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late Louis Basham and Florence Etna Eggleston Greene. As a youth she was an accomplished artist, both as a classical pianist and as a state award winning watercolorist while completing her studies and graduating from Rogers High in 3 years. She was a Physical Education major at the University of Arkansas where she became a member of Pi Beta Phi women's sorority. She taught Elementary PE in Bel Air, Maryland. She later studied Interior Design at UCLA and established her own Interior Design firm where she became recognized by the Los Angeles area Interior Design organization as an expert in the use of color. Although she was an accomplished horsewoman, her love for animals extended beyond her pets and horses to include all things wild. She enjoyed reading and her "Book Club" comprised of close lady friends and was an adventuresome traveler, both domestically and internationally. She had a great sense of humor and easily made friends wherever she was. She was a life-long Presbyterian. For more than 60 years she was the beautiful, vibrant, loving wife of Scott Watson who survives as does their son, Brian Watson of Los Angeles. Memorials are suggested to CurePSP Foundation, 30 E.
