Shirley L. Scott

Shirley L. Scott, 76, of Benton, Ark. passed away February 12, 2015. She was born January 30, 1939 in Pennington, Ark. to the late George and Jessie Pearl Lasiter. Shirley is remembered for being a hard worker. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and friends. Shirley retired from Westinghouse after working over 30 years. In recent years, she served many residents of Saline County with a smile at McDonalds. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester Scott; and brothers George Lasiter, Billy Jean Lasiter, and Larry Lasiter. She is survived by brother, Charley Lasiter; sister, Charlene Bathea; step-children, Richard O. Scott, Ronald H. Scott, and Judy C. Petz; best friend, Damon Massey; as well as many family members and friends who loved Shirley and will miss her always. Reception Visitation will be Monday, February 23, 2015, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. followed by funeral service, officiated by Rev. John Bagby, at 1 p.m. at Smith – Benton Funeral Home, 322 N.
