Mary Ellen Green

Mary Ellen Green, age 77, of Benton, passed away Friday, Feb. 20, 2015 in Conway. She was born June 13, 1937 in Benton. Mary was an LPN and worked at the Old Baptist Hospital in Little Rock for 12 years and was a member of the Northside Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Allie Raney Goodwi; husband, Kay C. Green; two sisters; and one brother. Survivors: sons and daughter-in-law, David (Kathryn) Green, Conway; Michael Green, Conway; daughter and son-in-law, Laura (Steven) Ard, Conway; three brothers, Henry Goodwin, Tennessee; Curtis Goodwin, North Carolina; and Bill Goodwin, California; six grandchildren. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all. She was always caring for others no matter the circumstances. She loved the Lord, the Bible, to sing, play dominoes, and bingo, crochet and tell everyone about her sweet grandkids. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ashby Funeral Home.
