Douglas L. Radford, 81, of Jacksonville, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015. He was born on March 21, 1933 to the late Lee and Cora Radford. Doug served his country for 23 years in the United States Air Force before retiring and being employed by Falcon Jet for 20 years. He was an active member at First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, serving in multiple ministries, and devoting many years to the Boy Scouts. Doug was considered an "Office Angel" by the staff at the church because he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Kravik, as well as three nieces. Doug is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Tammy Hung Nam Radford; his sister, Mary Buckles, four nieces and three nephews; many great-nieces and nephews, his loving church family, and many additional friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 11: a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow the service at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, (501) 982-2136.
