Allan Mertise Kukkola

Allan M. Kukkola, 82 of Jacksonville, AR was called home on Monday, February 16, 2015. He was born in Ontonagon, Mich. on July 29, 1932 to the late John and Esther Kukkola. Allan served his country for 20 years and two wars Korean and Vietnam in the United States Air Force before retiring in 1972 he then was employed by the United States Postal Service for 20 years retiring once more in 1992. Allan was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign War. Al was passionate and Committed to God, Family and Country and adored spending time with family and friends, especially with his two granddaughters, Morgan (17 years) and Bailey (9 years) Kukkola. Allan was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Asako, brother, Charles, and two nieces. Allan is survived by his son, David and his family, Carrie, Morgan and Bailey, daughter, Glenda (Crowe) and grandson, Johnny (Mathis), sister, Audrey (Hayes), and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 1504 N. JP Wright Loop Road, Jacksonville, Ark. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 1 p.m., Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
