Eloise Wright

Eloise Beck Wright died Wednesday, February 25, 2015. She was born July 6, 1930 in Searcy, Arkansas to Melvin and Bertha Beck. Eloise is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years, Dewey J. Wright, a daughter, Melanie Lee Wright; grandparents, Ralph and Sadie Beck and Elmer and Myrtle Hynds. She is survived by one daughter, Rita Holmes and husband Bill of Little Rock; a sister-in-law, Barbara Hester; several aunts and cousins; two nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was very active in Greenkeepers Garden Club for many years, serving on district committees, as well as state. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and First Baptist Church, Searcy. She spent many wonderful hours playing bridge with her friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Searcy, Hospice Home Care of Little Rock, or Briarwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Little Rock. Visitation will be at the Powell Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. with funeral services following at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at White County Memorial Gardens.
