Irene C. Damron, 88, of Bryant, Arkansas, entered into Eternal Life with her Savior, Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at her home. She was a former resident of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She was born October 13, 1926, in Rison, to Lewis and Hattie Morris Cummings. She was a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church in Benton. Her greatest loves were her church, her family, and working in her yard, before she sold her home and moved into an apartment after her husband's death. Her husband, James, "J.K.", Damron, preceded her in death 5 years ago. They were married on October 13, 1948, in Pine Bluff and they shared 61 years of marriage before his death in 2009. Survivors include her daughter, Donna Arnold (Jim) of Benton; her son, Jimmy Dale Peden (Helen Davis) of Rison; sisters, Lorece Hart (Carrol) of Pine Bluff, Berneice Wilkins of Sheridan; a brother, JB "Buddy" Cummings of Hot Springs; Grandchildren: Leah Graddy and Matthew Welch of Benton, Kirk Welch of Statesboro, Ga., James William Peden of Sheridan, Michelle Spencer of St. Louis, Mo., Terry Martin of Longview, Texas, and Mike Davis of Asheville, N.C., eight great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 28 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson's Funeral Home, 807 S. Cherry Street, Pine Bluff, Ark. The service will begin at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson's Funeral Home with Bro. Travis George and Bro. Muncy Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in White Hall and will be private.
