Joyce Anne Munn

Joyce Anne Munn, 74, of Watts, Oklahoma, died February 25, 2015, at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Born January 30, 1941 in Sciotoville, Ohio, she was the daughter of Willard Oren and Virginia (Coldiron) Munn. Joyce began her teaching career in 1965 at Cookson Hills Christian School which suited her well for her desire for mission work. This desire took her to the mission field in Puerto Rico from 1965 to 1967. Upon returning to the states, Joyce taught elementary grades for the Siloam Springs School System from1967 until her retirement in 2002. She was a member and served on the board of Christian Educators Association International and was a member and officer for Alpha Delta Kappa and Delta Kappa Gamma. Joyce continued her passion for mission work through support of and affiliation with various mission organizations and missionaries. Joyce loved reading and writing and was a published Christian author, sharing her gift of writing with others. She demonstrated a servant's heart through volunteering for numerous local charities, always helping and doing for others. Joyce was a member of the Community Christian Fellowship, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include a host of relatives, friends and many former students. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Community Christian Fellowship, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with Pastor Patrick Callahan officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, March 2, 2015, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
