Peggy J. Hendrix

Peggy J. Hendrix, 86, of Bauxite died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015. She was born Sept. 1, 1928 in Shreveport, La. to the late Pat and Lillian Fleming Brazil and was known as "The Donut Lady" for her role at the counter of Dales Donuts. Formerly, she was the owner/operator of Hendrix Grocery in Bauxite. Peggy was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and Adoration Chapel and Key Chain Group. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Putty Hendrix; a brother, Pat Brazil Jr. and a granddaughter, Manda Stuckey. Survivors include a son, Tim Hendrix (Patty) of Marble Falls, Ark.; a daughter, Bridget Stuckey (Ronnie) of Dubach, La.; five grandchildren, C. C. Stuckey, Sarah Hendrix, Danni Stuckey, Laura Hendrix and Emily Hendrix and great grandchildren, R. W. Hendrix, Landon Hendrix and Amanda M. Stuckey. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2015 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Benton, with Father Y. C. Irudayaraj officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. A Rosary will be held starting at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 4 in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (501-315-4047), with visitation to follow.
