EVA MAE TOLER, age 94, of Jacksonville went to be with her Lord on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015. She was born in Leola, Ark. on April 24, 1920 to the late Luther C. and Gertie Applegate-Massey. Her mother died soon after Eva was born and her grandmother, Sallie Massey, parented her until she married her husband of 68 years, James Harold Toler, who preceded her in death in 2003. She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Toler Dabbs (Dale) of Jacksonville, Judith Dianne Aylor (Sonny) of Bryant; four grandchildren, Larry Dabbs (Le Nita), Stuart Dabbs (Terri), Hunter Pennington (Angie), Lee Pennington (Sarah); eight great-grandchildren, Amanda Wimberley (Micah), Wade Dabbs, Faith, Peyton, Ian, Noah and Kaden Pennington and two great-great-grandchildren, Ellia and Bowen Wimberley. Eva was also preceded in death by her daughter, Eleanor White and son-in-law, Clint White. She and Harold owned and operated Tolers Model Market in Malvern for many years before retiring and living in Springdale and Jacksonville. She had a second working career for 20 years as quality control inspector at Union Carbide Corp. while in Springdale. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville, where she served faithfully for 27 years. She also enjoyed serving her family and never failed to tell them how much they were dearly loved. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2014 at First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville, with Rev. Charles Watt officiating. Visitation will precede the service by one hour beginning at 12 p.m. Entombment will follow in Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock. Honorary pallbearers will be the grandsons and great-grandsons. Memorials are requested to be made to First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville.
