Minnie B. Smith

Minnie B. Smith, age 79, of Alexander passed from this life on Jan. 3, 2015 with her loving family by her side. Ms. Smith was born on Jan. 2, 1936 in Greenville, Miss. to her parents, George and Eva Smith. She loved going to the Racetrack and Waffle House. She also enjoyed playing bingo and looking at fall foliage. Minnie is survived by her son, Sammy Baldwin and his wife, Sherrie of Bryant and seven daughters, Joy Ward and her husband, Glen of Bryant, Barbara Compton and her husband, Jack of Ripley, Miss., Kathie Moore and her husband, Joe of Summerfield, Fla., Kim Bloodworth and her husband, William of Lake Cormorant, Miss., Patsy Davis and her husband, Ed of Hot Springs Village, Paula Johnson and her husband, Steve of Jacksonville and Sharon Hill of Bryant. She also leaves behind 22 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, one sister, Barbara Sharp and her husband, Don and her loving companion, Bennie Edwards, along with numerous other friends and relatives that will cherish her memory. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister, along with her son-in-law, William Hill and her grandson, Jason Bloodworth. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015 in the chapel of Dial & Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant, with Bro. William "Bill" Bloodworth Sr. officiating.
