Bonnie L. Vestal

Bonnie L. Vestal, 70, Independence, Mo. passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 at the Promise Skilled Nursing Facility, Overland Park, Kan. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13 at the Amos Family Funeral Home; burial in the Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice 4601 College Blvd, #160, Leawood, Kan. 66211. Bonnie was born April 14, 1944 in Greenwood, Miss. to Lt. Col. Rolla and Bonita (Swicegood) Vestal. She was a 1962 graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School. She worked in the real estate industry as a commercial closer. She was employed with Chicago Title and Stewart Title prior to retiring. In her younger years, Bonnie enjoyed water skiing. Most recently, annual trips to Las Vegas. Bonnie is survived by her three sisters, Maggie Owen, Overland Park, Kan., Jo Jean Dodd and Shirley Vestal, both of Shawnee, KS; three nieces and two nephews.
