Daniel Hunter "Danny" Williams

Daniel Hunter "Danny" Williams, 62, of Pine Bluff, died Friday, January 9, 2015. He was born November 17, 1952 in Pine Bluff, son of Milton N. "Preacher" and Eloise Tooke Williams. Mr. Williams was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School. He attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Danny began his banking career at 1stSouth Savings in Loan in 1982. He started working for Pine Bluff National Bank in 1992 and was currently the Senior Vice President of Consumer Lending at Relyance Bank. He loved golf. Danny greatly enjoyed playing at Rosswood Country Club in his younger years and more recently at Harbor Oaks. Danny was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Gober of Pine Bluff; two step-daughters, Allison Brown and her husband, Steven, and Christi Thews, both of Pine Bluff; brother, Warren "Smokey" Williams and his wife, Lynda, of White Hall; and four step-grandchildren, Holdyn Brown, Cameron Thews, Kendall Thews and Jordan Cotner. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 12, 2015 at Trinity Episcopal Church with Reverend Dr. Walter Van Zandt Windsor officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors. Visitation will be Monday morning from 9 a.m. until service time in the Parish Hall of Trinity Episcopal Church.
