Emma Lou Hefley, age 86, passed away at her home in Rogers, Arkansas, on Thursday, January 8, 2015, surrounded by her husband and children. Visitation will be held at Holt Memorial Chapel, in Harrison, on Sunday, January 11, from 2-4 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Holt Memorial Chapel, in Harrison, on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 10 a.m. Rev. Robert Shaddox will officiate Pallbearers will be Billy Linch, Steve Linch, Bryan Hawks, Rick McReynolds, Trey Marley, Chris Marley, and John Bookout. Graveside service will be at Gentry Cemetery in Gentry, Arkansas at 3 pm. on Monday. She was born February 3, 1928, in Seminole, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and wonderful cook who hosted many memorable gatherings. She owned a beauty shop in Harrison for several years and worked at McDonalds in Conway for 18 years. Emma Lou loved unconditionally and was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Emma Lou and Hosea attended Mountain Spring Baptist Church in Rogers. Emma Lou was preceded in death by her parents Chester and Ruth Pierce, her treasured Aunt Frankie and Uncle L.C. Taylor, a sister, Norene Kirk, and brothers, Herbert Pierce and Donald Graham. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Hosea Hefley, children, Debbie Marley and husband Robert of Fort Smith, Janice Sweeney and husband Gordon of Fayetteville, Trish Linch and husband Bill of Gentry, sisters, Pat Wood of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Billie Clark of Dogpatch. She was blessed with eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild. She treasured many other relatives and friends.
