Zula Stanley Luker Broyles, age 94, of Eureka Springs died after a brief illness, Jan. 2, 20l5. Born Nov. 2, 1920 in North Little Rock, she grew up and lived there many years, later living in Mountain View and Eureka Springs, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Walter and Nellie Stanley; brothers, Earl, Leonard, Ralph, Herbert and Clarence Stanley and sister, Nellie Johnson and husbands, Joe C. Luker Sr. and Leonard Broyles. She is survived by sons, Joe C. Luker Jr. and wife, Melva of Eureka Springs and James C. Luker and wife, Myra of Wynne, Ark.; grandsons, Jay, Hunt, Stan and Jonathan Luker and three great-grandchildren. Zula was a life-long member of Levy Baptist Church, North Little Rock and later attended First United Methodist Church of Eureka Springs. Zula was active throughout her life in church, gardening clubs and quilting circles. She was a devoted and caring wife, mother, sister and friend who was much loved and will be missed. Memorials may be sent to Levy Baptist Church, North Little Rock or to Eureka Springs First United Methodist. Burial will be at Edgewood Cemetery, North Little Rock. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17 at First United Methodist in Eureka Springs.
