She was born in Wall, S.D., moved to Libby, Mont. at age 3; moved to Rapid City, S.D. for her senior year of high school. She received her teaching certificate from Black Hills State Teachers College in Spearfish, S.D. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert H. Brennan and Agnes Mousseau Brennan and one grandson, Daniel Seal. She is survived by her husband of 61 years; four children, Ellen Spooner (Rocky), Elaine Seal (Mike), John McGee (Susan) and Charles R. McGee; grandchildren, Richard, Ryan, Jonathan and David Spooner, Melanie Uthus (Daniel), Michelle Wright (David), Rebecca and Andrew Seal and Jeremy and Justin McGee; four great-grandchildren, Abigail and Matthew Wright and Cole and Elianna Uthus; sister, Carol Miller and Robert and Jim Brennan. Her dates with Neil were to drive-inn movies, sightseeing in the Black Hills and to church, where she accepted Christ as her Savior and started teaching Sunday School shortly thereafter. She and her family are members of Life Line Baptist Church since 1963 where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was also a substitute school teacher in the PCSSD for several years. She loved Neil and her children and grandchildren very much and will be missed. She made several quilt tops and gave quilts to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed working in the yard with her azalea plants, daffodils, iris, roses, etc and giving flowers and plants to anyone that wanted them. She liked to visit and talk with people and joined the Bess Chism Community Center where she would swim and visit. Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan.12, 2015 from 12:30-2 p.m. at Life Line Baptist Church, Baseline and Chicot Road. Funeral services will follow at the church with Bro. Jeff Dial officiating. Burial to follow at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Memorial Park at 10200 Hwy 5 North. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the food closet at Life Line. We would like to express our appreciation and thanks to the Hospice Home Care unit on Bowman Road, especially to Dr. David Liu.
