Carol Edwards

Carol Edwards, 71, of Rogers, died on January 10, 2015. She was born December 22, 1943 in Oklahoma City to the late George Oscar and Martha Maxine (Pierce) Thompson. Carol and her husband, Gene, worked together at their trucking company. She was a member of the Southside Church of Christ in Rogers for many years. She was also a member of the Westville, Oklahoma Church of Christ. Survivors include daughters, Laurie McCarley (Billy) of West Fork, Rhonda Boone (Randy) of Rogers; brothers, Larry Thompson of Rogers, Jimmie Thompson of Eudora, Kan., Richard Thompson of Allen, Texas, Danny Thompson of Rogers; sister, Debbie Eversole of Gentry; grandchildren, Phillip Edwards, Stephanie Bowman, Ashley Bush, Carmen Davis, Julie Boone, Savanna Youngblood; 12 great-grandchildren; and lifelong friend Roy Pettigrew of Springdale. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene Edwards; son, Bradley Edwards; sister, Georgia Hopkins; and brothers, Frank and Oscar Thompson. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2014, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel.
