Carolyn Maysel Goss

Carolyn Maysel Goss passed away on December 22, 2014 at her home in St. Louis, Missouri, leaving behind her beloved husband, Jerome Dobson, and their sons, Joseph Goss Dobson and David Goss Dobson. Although lung cancer claimed her life less than a year from diagnosis, it did not diminish her spirit. Carolyn was the daughter of Elaine Lusk Goss and the late Paul Goss of North Little Rock, and the sister of Constance Goss of St. Louis, Missouri, and Rachel Goss (Jack Holm), of San Jose, California, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Carolyn was born and raised in North Little Rock, attended Lakewood Elementary and was a graduate of North Little Rock Northeast High School. As a girl she enjoyed learning ballet at the Reamey School of Dance, and serving as a Chargette for NLR Northeast HS. Carolyn graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in Graphic Arts. She pursued her work as a calligrapher, which included a recent feature article highlighting her art in an international calligraphy journal. Carolyn enjoyed cheering on the Cardinals, spending time with her family, traveling, bird watching, restoring historic homes and road trips. Funeral services were held on Sunday, December 28th at 1 p.m. at Central Reform Congregation, 5020 Waterman Blvd, St. Louis, Missouri, with Interment at United Hebrew Cemetery, 7855 Canton Ave. Memorial contributions preferred to Central Reform Congregation or New City School, 5209 Waterman, St. Louis, Missouri, 63108.
