Henry Clay Heard

Henry Clay Heard, 95, was born on July 19,1919 in Cotton Plant Arkansas. He lived in Blytheville with his devoted mother (Alice Ware) and grandmother (Francis Travis). He married Ethel Cottonham on July 15, 1942 and moved to Detroit Michigan shortly thereafter. The union lasted for 72 years; Ethel preceding him in death in October 25, 2014. Henry was a successful business owner, a loving father and a man of Christ. Returning to Arkansas in 1992 was an opportunity for Henry to rest after retirement. Henry Clay died on July 8, 2015. He leaves fellow worshipper at Mt. Zion Church and relatives to mourn him including his sister, Tommie Lee Taylor and daughters Gwen Heard and Eleanor White.
