David Borel, 56 of North Little Rock passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in the arms of his wife, surrounded by family and friends. David was of the Baptist faith. He was a 1977 graduate of Little Rock Central High School and owner of Borel's Garage in North Little Rock. He loved family, friends, hunting, fishing, metal detecting, wood working and riding his hand-crafted 1963 VW trike. Most of all, David loved to show his love to family and friends through his cooking and wine making. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Winkler Borel; mother, Helen Janell Rhodes Borel, of Rose Bud; two sons, Aaron E. Borel and Adam D. Borel, of North Little Rock; granddaughter and light of his life, Avery Grace Borel; sister, Kathy Borel, of North Little Rock and his brother, Garry Borel, of Rosebud as well as a multitude of friends and family. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur David Borel Sr. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Joseph Beck, Dr. Gail McCracken, Karen Oliver and other members of his medical team here in Little Rock and at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Thank you the nurses at SVI-LR MICU for their wonderful care and loving touch. Thank you to the men and women of NLR Fire Department for their love and support to our family during this journey. Special thanks to all of you who have loved, supported and blessed our lives including Team #BORELSTRONG.
