MSGT MOSE HOOKS SR., 84, of North Little Rock passed on Jan. 14, 2015 at Baptist Hospital- NLR. He was born on Dec. 9, 1930 in Ashdown, Ark. to the late Elbert and Cora Hooks. He was preceded by his siblings, Elbert Jr., William, Charles, Christene Hooks and Lytha Wilburn. MSGT Mose retired from the United States Marine Corp in 1976 after proudly serving 24 years; he was also employed by Union Pacific Railroad and Kroger, where he also retired. He loved his family, church and friends. He was faithful member of his church, where he served as Sunday School teacher, Boy Scout troop leader, usher and Deacon until his health was challenged. He leaves to carry his legacy his devoted wife of 50 years, Emma Jean Hooks; two sons, Moses (Yolonda) Hooks Jr., Marcus (Devera) Hooks; one daughter, Jacqueline Hooks; six grandchildren, Christian, Camron and Chloe Hooks, Jonathan, Calion, Ramsey Matlock and a host of family and friends. Family hour: Friday, 7- 8:30 p.m. at Robinson Mortuary Chapel, LR. Service: Saturday, noon at New Calvary Temple COGIC, NLR; Pastor Timothy Hopson officiating.
