Velma Jewel Thornsberry

Velma Jewel Thornsberry, age 91, of Springdale died Monday, Jan. 12, 2015 in Springdale. She was born Dec. 1, 1923 in St. Paul, Arkansas the daughter of Paul Rob and Stella Faubus Vanbrunt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Thornsberry. She was a self-employed drapery maker. She is survived by two grandsons, Shawn Lewis and Donny Lewis, both of Fayetteville; a great-granddaughter, Summer Lewis of Sonora and a sister, Alena Taylor of Cane Hill; a brother, Everett Vanbrunt of Kalispell, Mont.; her son-in-law, Charles Lewis. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015 at Moores Chapel in Fayetteville.
