JAMES "JIM" DODGE, 77, went home on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015. He was born March 20, 1937 in East Prairie, Mo. to Lindsey and Ethyl Jackson Dodge. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Charlie London, Adon London, Dale Kay Dodge and Robert Dodge. He is survived by his wife, Mary Juanita Smiley Dodge; two daughters, Melinda Dodge of Bryant, Lisa (Ronnie) Ball of East End; two step-daughters, Dana (Lynn) Weaks of Forney, Texas, Nita (Steve) Dodge of Alexander; one step-son, Doug (Tiki) Bennett of North Little Rock; two brothers, Lin (Maureen) Dodge of Alexander, Mike (Peggy) Dodge of Bryant; one sister, Jackie Stogsdill of Alexander; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He loved his family, football, Nascar and was a gifted painter. His gift of storytelling and details of history was widely known. Jim was a big man with an even bigger heart. He will be greatly missed by all. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015 at East Union Baptist Church, 20422 N. Springlake Road, Hensley, Ark. 72065. Burial to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
