Eric James (Ricky) Peters, 46, of Sherwood, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 15, 2015 when he passed away of natural causes. He was a much-loved son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend and made a career of caring for others in his position as a nurse at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock. Eric, a member of Sylvan Hills Baptist Church in Sherwood, was born in North Little Rock on September 21, 1968 to Carl and Patty Peters of Jacksonville. He is survived by his parents; three brothers, Jeff Peters (June) of Jacksonville; Greg Peters (Teresa) of Cabot; Kurt Peters (Angie) of Benton; and his sister, Lisa Weaver (Richard) of Greenbrier. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; Jessica Peters of Jacksonville; Molly Peters-Stanley of Washington D.C.; Katie Gheen (Tommy) of Conway; Nick Peters (Heather), Lindsey Peters, Erin Peters of Benton; and Reagan Weaver of Greenbrier; as well as two great-nephews and one great-niece. As a 2003 graduate from the St. Vincent School of Practical Nursing, he was valedictorian of his class and enjoyed his work in the healthcare field immensely. He was also an avid sports fan, enjoyed snow skiing and loved spending time at family gatherings at his parents' farm in Jacksonville. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life, his generous spirit and caring nature in the chapel of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 with Bro. Fred Reddoch officiating. Interment will follow in Bayou Meto Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.
