JD Hern

J.D. Hern, 92 of Greers Ferry passed away on January 18, 2015. He was born in Russellville, Arkansas on April 8, 1922. He served in WWII as a medic and retired from the City of Little Rock as an auto mechanic. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, two sisters, one brother and his beloved wife, Ruth. He is survived by his son, David Hern and wife, Geneva, daughter, Patti Thoma and husband, Bill, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Atkins Cemetery.
