Leda Fay Edwards

Leda Fay Edwards, 68, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born July 14, 1946 at Little Rock, Arkansas to George and Irene Emmerling, and she died Saturday, January 17, 2015. She was a dedicated nurse and instructor. She loved traveling, was an avid reader and she loved life and laughter. She was a wonderful, loving mother, friend and role model for her students, encouraging them to further their education in nursing. Leda Fay is survived by her daughter, Laura Denise Coley and son Alton Leon Edwards, both of Beebe; stepson Ronald Lee Edwards of Searcy, stepdaughter Leslie Green of Beebe; grandsons Hunter Lee Coley, Justin Oakley, Reese Anders, Dayton Edwards; four granddaughters, Brandy Hinze, Shelly Powell, Dawn Oakley, and Gracie Anders. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Edwards; father and mother; stepmother, Grace Emmerling; brothers, Royce Emmerling and Frank Emmerling; and her sister, Wanda Hancock. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Smith – Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Beebe Cemetery.
