Timothy "Tim" Wood McDaniel, 50, of North Little Rock passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 17, 2015. Born November 9, 1964, he was the son of Rachel Wood McDaniel and the late Donald Maurice McDaniel. He graduated from NLR Northeast High School in 1983. While in high school, he was a Governor's School recipient, was selected as a member of the Arkansas All State Football team, was voted Most Valuable Player in the City in basketball, as well as excelling in baseball. He accepted a baseball scholarship to Ouachita Baptist University where he was also a member of Beta Social Club. After one year at Ouachita, he transferred and later graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1987, where he was a member of and held several offices in Sigma Nu Fraternity. Tim was a successful pharmaceutical sales representative and was employed by Novo Nordisk A/S, where he was the consummate professional and a beloved coworker who will be missed by everyone with whom he worked. Tim was a loving family man who never met a stranger; he loved his family, friends and was a die-hard Razorback fan. We shared many good times with him whether it was on the golf course, fishing, watching the kid's activities or just a simple family meal. Tim's presence made everything better and our lives are happier and richer for having known him. Tim chose to be an organ donor and now many others will be blessed by his generous and giving nature. Tim is survived by his wife, Jennifer Meyers McDaniel; his children, Benjamin Wood McDaniel, Andrew Hunter McDaniel, Sophie Quinn Meyers and Maxwell Aubrey Meyers. He is also survived by his mother, Rachel Wood McDaniel of North Little Rock; and his brothers, Jim (Barbara) McDaniel of North Little Rock and Phillip McDaniel of Atlanta, Georgia. He leaves behind many friends and relatives. Memorials may be made to Central Arkansas Christian High School Scholarship Fund, 1 Windsong Drive, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72113. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Park Hill Baptist Church in North Little Rock by Senior Pastor, Dr. Ken Shaddox. A visitation will be held for family and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
