Mary Fern Huxohl Larson

Mary Fern Huxohl Larson of Goodman, Mo., formerly of Elm Springs, Arkansas passed away January 19, 2015 in Neosho, Mo. She was born on February 23, 1924 in Rockford, Iowa the daughter of Otto and Ruth Huxohl. She was a registered nurse for many years and worked with DR.s Cooley and De Bakey when they started heart transplants. She retired from the University of Arkansas infirmary. She enjoyed taking care of the Arkansas Razorbacks in the '60's and ‘70's. She was a huge Arkansas Razorback fan. She also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys/Bulls/Cubs… Later in life she enjoyed going to Larry Williams auctions on Monday nights. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Winston Larson, son, Ronald Larson, granddaughter, Ruth Ann Seyer, brother, Carlisle & his wife June Huxohl. She is survived by her daughter Mary Larson and significance other William Hillhouse, son, James Larson and wife Pat, niece, Carla Huxohl, one great-niece, Carlita Benter and husband Mitch, great-nephew, Chris Humphries and two children, nephew, Carl Huxohl, wife Debbie, niece, Stacy Smith and great-nieces, Marcie Smith, Rachel Huxohl, Aubry Tindel and great-nephews, Michael Treadwell, Joshua Huxohl and Casey Wexell, two granddaughters of the heart Kim Brandt of Monett, Mo. and her four children, Kendra Wood and husband James and their three children of Pea Ridge. In lieu of flowers please make donations to your local animal shelter. Gravesides services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Bluff Cemetery in Springdale, Arkansas with Pastor Will Reitz officiating. Arrangements made by Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
