William Carl "Bill" Wallace, 64, of Noel, Missouri, formally of Pea Ridge, died Friday, January 16, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born June 11, 1950, at Boone, Iowa, to Keith Glen Wallace and Claire Roseann Lepire Wallace. He served in the US Navy during the Viet Nam conflict in logistic support. He moved to Pea Ridge in 1982 from California to make his home and worked in maintenance for Wal-Mart #6094 for thirty years. He enjoyed traveling, motorcycles, classic cars, snow skiing, ballroom dancing, and was a T-Ball and Little League coach and umpire for many years. He and his family were involved with the foreign exchange program at Pea Ridge High School and were hosts for students from Sweden, Russia, and New Zealand. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was a Catholic and is preceded in death by his father and one brother, Ronnie Wallace. Survivors are his wife Cathy of the home; one daughter, Debra Wallace of Fayetteville; two sons, Richard Wallace and wife Ginny of Pea Ridge, and Billy Wallace of Noel, Missouri; his mother, Claire Wallace of Cherry Valley, California; three sisters, Susan Cox of Pueblo, Colorado, Sharon Fredericks and husband Ken of Parker, Colorado, and Carol Hoeft and husband Rick of The Villages, Florida; two brothers, Dennis Wallace and wife Patti of Noel, Missouri, and David Wallace and wife Maclovia of Long Beach, California; four grandchildren; and two special family friends, Ray Neely and Sheila Reed. A funeral mass will be held at 12 noon, Friday, January 23, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers. Visitation is set for 5-7 p.m. Thursday, January 22, with a rosary service beginning at 7 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Burial will be at Pea Ridge Cemetery with full military honors.
