Agnes Ann McGarrah, 88, of Springdale, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the Maples Nursing Home. Agnes was born on August 22, 1926 in Snowball, Ark., a daughter of James Monroe Sarratt and Annie Cooper Sarratt. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Ervin McGarrah and then Delmar Johnson. She worked in production for George's along with helping on the McGarrah Farm. She enjoyed gardening extremely and quilting. She was a member of the Jesus Name Pentecostal Church. Agnes is survived by two sons, Dennis and wife Dawn McGarrah of Garfield, and James and wife Arlene McGarrah of Waldron; two daughters, Sybil Rizley and husband Frank, and Janet Kragel all of Lowell; three sisters, Elsie White and Velta Harveston of Springdale and Edith Sider and husband Herman of Lowell; nine grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Kay McGarrah and one grandson, Micheal McGarrah. Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale, Friday, January 23, 2015 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel in Springdale, Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 1 p.m. with Brother Robert Anderson officiating.
