Catherine Elizabeth Ort, 95, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 18th, 2015. She was born in Chicago, Illinois to Martin and Maria Dratnol. Catherine's parents were immigrants from Czech Republic; they came to America in 1900. She attended Our Lady of the Lourds School in Chicago. Catherine was married to her loving husband Alvin Ort for 59 years. Alvin was sent to Little Rock by Western Electric in 1957 to establish the Teletype Corp. Catherine loved cooking for her family, gardening and working in her church. She was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church where she was very active in the altar society. Her first job was at Scientific Oil Co., where she accidentally spilled oil on her bosses' mail and triggered a patent for the clear window envelope. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and five sisters; Anna, Mary Theresa, Rose and Irene. She is survived by two sons, Ron Ort and Martin Ort (Avis); one brother, Joseph Dratnol; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A visitation will be held at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy. 5 N., in Alexander from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2015 followed by a funeral mass at 10 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2015 at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, 6219 Baseline Road, Little Rock, Ark. 72209.
