Velma McSpadden Davis

Velma McSpadden Davis, 84, of Bradford departed this life Wednesday, January 21, 2015. She was born November 13, 1930 to Loyd and Nancy (Wheeler) McSpadden. She was a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church, she enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; James Harley Davis, her parents, one brother; James Lee McSpadden and one sister; Nellie Dotson. Her survivors are three sons; James Micale Davis and wife Julie of Heber Springs, Ricky Dean Davis and wife Shirley of Beebe, and Archie Dwaine Davis and wife Debbie of Newport, four daughters; Leveata Shelley and husband Randy of Newport, Nancy Jane Grisham and husband Charles of Thida, Barbara Elizabeth Willard and husband Herbert of Thida, and Reitha Mae Davis of Thida, one brother; Gerald McSpadden of Texas, five sisters; Jewell Overton of Danville, Wandalee Davis of Tennessee, Maria Posey of Batesville, Barbara French of Sherwood, and Rinda Barnett of Possum Grape, twenty one grandchildren, sixty five great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Coffeyville Cemetery.
