Reverend Thomas A. Krank

Reverend Thomas A. Krank, age 81, of Pine Bluff, died Thursday, January 22, 2015, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Mr. Krank was born in a log cabin August 31, 1933, in Eldon, Oklahoma, a triplet son of the late Hugh M. and Viola Spears Krank. He was reared and received his early education in Eldon, Oklahoma and Little Rock, where he graduated from Central High School. He also enrolled at the Little Rock Missionary Baptist Seminary and graduated. Reverend Krank was a beloved father, friend, avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed playing the piano and singing gospel music He sang with the River City Boys and the Whiteville Quartet. He pastored many ABA Missionary Baptist Churches during his ministry of sixty two years, including the last church he pastored, the Line Creek Missionary Baptist Church of Ida, Louisiana, for seven years. He was also a contract painter in Pine Bluff for 25 years. Mr. Krank was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Goldmon Lou Yarberry Krank; sons, Michael Dion and Timothy A. Krank; brothers, Hugh and Frank Krank; triplet sister, Margaret Elsie Krank, sisters, Gene Krank Taveria and Naomi Krank Walker. Survivors include his wife, Christine Funderburg Krank of 26 years; daughters, Pam Baggett (Les) of Sheridan and Kim Krank of Pine Bluff; son, Miles Krank of Magnolia; triplet sister, Alice Krank Perrette of Harrison, sister Patricia Krank Hulbert of Auburn, California and brother, Floyd Krank of Globe, Arizona; grandson, Derek Baggett; granddaughter, Allison Michau; great-grandsons, Brenden, Ethen and Joshua Baggett, Aaron Reppond, Gavin and Garrett Michau. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but now is rejoicing with God in heaven. We appreciate the loving care he received from everyone at Hospice Home Care. Funeral services will be Monday, January 26, 2015, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverend Jeff Temple officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Robinson's from 1 p.m. until service time.
