Ellen Smaardyk

Ellen Smaardyk, formerly of Little Rock, Ark., died Nov. 28, 2014 in Houston, Texas. She was born May 8, 1920 in Fort Wayne, Ind. She married Abraham Smaardyk on Aug. 7, 1943. She was a long time resident of Arkansas, moving to Petit Jean Mountain in 1977 and Little Rock in 1993, where she was active in the garden club. In 2012 Ellen moved to Houston to be closer to family. A memorial service will be held Jan. 31 at 11 a.m. at the Unitarian Church, 1818 Reservoir Rd., Little Rock.
