Mardella Taylor

MARDELLA TAYLOR, age 60, of Mabelvale passed away Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015. She was born Sept. 15, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Ulmer and Betty (Youle) Armentrout. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Ethel May Kirby and her father-in-law, Robert Taylor. She enjoyed working as a waitress at El Chico, where she was employed for 16 years and was of Christian faith. Mardella loved to gossip, drink coffee, play board games and she also loved to decorate. Above all else in life, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter whom she taught to play poker. Survivors include her husband of over 16 years, Robert James Taylor of Mabelvale; two daughters, Misty White (Kevin) and Kelly Ritchie, all of Benton; three grandchildren, Kayla White and Garrett and Brittney Matthews; one great-granddaughter, Delilah Matthews; two sisters, Bonnie (Mark) Betts and Marjorie "Boo" (Wiley) Jones, all of Colorado; three brothers, Jim Hogan, Bill Armentrout and Bob Armentrout, all of Colorado; numerous nieces and nephews; her mother-in-law, Ruth Taylor and her best friend, Shari Wilson. A memorial service is scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047), with Tammy Collingham officiating.
