Berniece Freeman, 99, of Gurdon, Arkansas died, Tuesday January 27, 2015 at Twin Rivers Health and Rehab. Berniece was loving known by all of her family and friends as "Mama Niece". Berniece was born February 17, 1915 in South Fork, Arkansas to Hubert and Ola (Wingfield) Clark. Berniece was a lifelong member of Beech Street Baptist Church. Berniece is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Freeman Sr., daughter, Nancy Wray, son-in-law, John Wray, grandson, Kirby Stroud, sisters, Eloise Thomas and Ruth Anderson, brother, Bill Norton, little brother, Buster Clark and parents, Hubert and Ola Clark and Millie Clark. Berniece is survived by her daughters, Julia Russell (Jim) and Sarah Cox (Bubba) both of Gurdon, Arkansas, one son, Bruce Freeman Jr. (Nancy) of Colleyville, Texas, a sister, Fern Bowen of San Diego, California, nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren and three babies on the way. Visitation will be: Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Beech Street Baptist Church. Service will be: Friday, January 30, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Beech Street Baptist Church with Bro. Randy Cox and Bro. James McCain officiating. Interment will follow in: Center Ridge Cemetery, Gurdon, Arkansas. Under the direction of Pharr Funeral Home of Gurdon.
