Allen Rhoades

Allen Rhoades, 82, of El Dorado, AR; died on Monday, June 29, 2015, at Timberlane Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on August 10, 1932, the son of Lee Rhoades and Georgie Walley Rhoades in Chicot County, Ark. He worked as a police officer in Dermott, and also worked as a painter in El Dorado. He was a member of Caledonia Baptist Church and served in the United States Army from 1948-1955. Allen was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tim Rhoades; a daughter, Carol Rhoades Kolbinskie; his wife, Minnie Marie Penix Rhoades and was the last of nine brothers and sisters. Survivors are a son, Dan Rhoades of Parkers Chapel; grandchildren, April Rivers, Brooke Rhoades, Samantha Rhoades, Blake Allen Rhoades; and two great-grandchildren; and a niece, Carol Terry of Benton, Ark. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at Young's Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015, in the chapel of Young's with Rev.
