Helen Williams

Helen Lorraine Elliott Williams, 60, of Pine Bluff, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Born June 23, 1955, at Victoria, Texas, she was the daughter of Margaret Gertrude Law Elliott and the late Jean Fred "Honey" Elliott. Mrs. Williams was a lifelong member of Greenlee Memorial Baptist Church. She was a 1973 graduate of Watson Chapel High School and received her Associate's degree from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. As a Registered Nurse, Mrs. Williams held several positions at JRMC. Namely she served as a home health nurse for many years, one of her most passionate roles. She retired as the Manager of Medical Affairs for the Southeastern Region of Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield. A caring and compassionate woman, nursing for Mrs. Williams was a calling not a job. She loved helping others and it showed to the countless patients and patient families she served. She was also the primary caregiver of her mother and her favorite pastime was listening to her husband and children play music. Mrs. Williams is survived by her mother; her loving husband of 41 years, Robert M. Williams; her children, Robbie Williams, wife Joy, and Sarah Williams-Oehring, husband David; three grandchildren, Christian, Kirstin, and Logan; and many other loving family and friends. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Winford "Win" Teel and Jean Fred "Freddie" Elliott Jr. Funeral Services will be Monday, July 6, 2015, 10 a.m. at Greenlee Memorial Baptist Church with Brother James Watson officiating.
