Juanita Meeks

Juanita Henson Meeks went to be with the lord on July 4, 2015. She was born in Russellville, Ark. on June 29, 1922, to Bertram Dee and Artie Patrick Henson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 40 years, Claron (Speedy) Meeks, two sisters Betty Sue Henson and Mary Henson Grogan; and two brothers, Gerald D. Henson and Ozell Henson. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Little Rock for over 30 years and was well known for her kind and sweet spirit. As a Sister, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother she was adored by all her family and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her two sisters, Martha Conrade (Ray) of Jacksonville, Ark.; and Reba Evans of Sherwood; one daughter, Judy Franks of Little Rock; one son, Larry W. Meeks (Claudia) of Mabelvale; two grandchildren, Lara Franks Hum (Jason) of North Little Rock; and Darrin Meeks of Little Rock; and five great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Sydney and Jonah Hum of North Little Rock; and Karisa and Courtney Meeks of Little Rock; one sister-in-law, Faye May (Clark) of North Little Rock and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 6th 2015 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home in Little Rock. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 7th 2015 at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Morrilton, Ark.
