Nina Ruth Benton, 95, of Booneville, formerly of Little Rock, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 3, 2015 in Booneville, Arkansas. She was born October 2, 1919 in Harrison, Arkansas to Odus and May Eoff Holmes. She was a homemaker and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Little Rock, where she served for many years as the nursery coordinator. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, reading, and spending time with family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid Razorback fan and she loved watching any sports on television. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fon Tillman Benton; one sister, Mildred Jones and a brother, James Hillman Holmes. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the First Baptist Church Chapel in Little Rock, with burial in Pinecrest Cemetery in Alexander, Arkansas, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Hall and husband Don of Booneville; one brother, John Wendall Holmes of Shell Beach, California; three grandchildren, Justin Hall and wife Lee Ann, Kristen Kipp and husband Michael, and Cara McGhee and husband Randy; five great-grandchildren, Sean, Bryce, Aubrie, Katie, and Landry. Pallbearers will be Justin Hall, Michael Kipp, Randy McGhee, Bernard Roberts, Chris Davenport. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Jones and Brian Brown. Visitation will at 1 p.m., Wednesday at the First Baptist Church Chapel. Memorials may be made to the nursing/preschool at First Baptist Church in Little Rock. www.robertsfh.com.
