JAMES H. ROBERTS passed away July 10, 2015 at Arkansas Hospice in Little Rock, Ark. after a battle with cancer. He passed easily and is at eternal peace. He loved his family very much and will be sorely missed by his loving wife, Mary Roberts; son, James M. Roberts (Kathy) of Guion, Ark.; and daughter, Phyllis Lambert Roberts of Hensley, Ark. James is also survived by his sister, Lois Boyd of North Little Rock; two brothers, Jerry Roberts of North Little Rock and Raymond Roberts (Jeanette) of Cabot; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Roberts of Hatteville and Judy Ware of Bryant; and brother-in-law, Chester Napier of Bryant. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Jesse Roberts; son, Joseph Michael Roberts; and brother, Edward Clay Roberts. James was born in Newport, Ark. March 4, 1936. He was in the Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was also a 32 Degree Scottish Rite Mason and was a member of the Big Rock Lodge 633 in North Little Rock. James worked for Rock Island, Missouri Pacific, and retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 40 years of combined service. James loved to travel with his wife and friends. The most recent trip was last September to Niagara Falls. He was an active member of Big Rock AARP 1516. He will be greatly missed by all. I thank you God for sending me the best husband and friend anyone could ever have wished for. We had a wonderful 48 years together. I know he will forever be my guardian angel. I love you James very much. Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
